iO Partners supports Amazon’s office consolidation in Iasi

Seeking to streamline its office operations, Amazon trusted iO Partners to successfully consolidate its locations, resulting in significant cost savings and minimal business disruption.
Challenge
Amazon sought to streamline its office space and devise a long-term expansion strategy. Having previously had a successful partnership with iO Partners, the global e-commerce giant enlisted the team's expertise to achieve its goal.
Approach
Over the course of two years, the iO Partners team managed the consolidation and relocation process in a challenging and immature market. To further complicate the matter, Amazon had three locations, each with separate leases and distinct expiry dates. The team worked to coordinate the lease terminations and minimise costs.
Results
Through hard work and dedication, iO Partners was able to bring Amazon into a built-to-suit project in Iasi city centre. This new location is just walking distance from the old offices, resulting in no impact on employee retention. In addition to this unified office space, more than 10 million Euros were obtained in savings from the onset to the close of the project.
