At iO Partners, we believe education is one of the foundations of a healthy, open and successful society. It gives children knowledge - but also confidence, curiosity, and the ability to imagine a future for themselves. That belief is what brought us to Teach for Romania, and it is what keeps us close to their mission.

Teach for Romania - Reducing Educational Inequality, One Community at a Time

Teach for Romania works in some of the country's most vulnerable areas, supporting teachers and communities to give children access to better learning opportunities. Their work is built on a simple but powerful conviction: every child has potential, and every child deserves a teacher who believes in it and is committed to helping them move forward.

We wanted to be part of that effort in a way that goes beyond making a contribution. So we show up - regularly, throughout the year - spending time with the children, joining them for activities where learning comes through games, creativity and conversation.

Running for a Reason

Sport is another important part of how we think about growing - as individuals, as a team, and as a society. It teaches perseverance, builds confidence and brings people together in a way that is hard to replicate.

Twice every year, our team takes part in fundraising races organized together with Teach for Romania - turning our own love of sport into practical support for their work. It is one of the most direct ways we know to connect what we value personally with something that matters beyond ourselves.

Grateful to Learn as Much as We Give

Through this partnership we have found a meaningful way to put our values into practice. We are grateful to be able to spend time with the children, learn from them, support their teachers, and be there throughout the year - not as distant donors, but as a team that genuinely cares about what happens next for each of them.

Education and sport both have a place in the way we think about what we are building - as a company, as colleagues, and as people. The work of Teach for Romania reminds us why that matters, and why showing up consistently is one of the most valuable things we can offer.
