H1 2026: Slovak Retail Market Overview
Prime retail supply stood at approximately 2.3 million sqm at the end of the second quarter of 2026. The Bratislava Region accounted for the largest share of the total stock, representing approximately 34%, followed by the Košice, Nitra and Žilina regions.

Shopping centres accounted for the majority of the modern retail stock, representing 65%, followed by retail parks with approximately 27%. The remaining 8% consists of retail galleries, department stores and concept stores.
Prime shopping centre supply reached almost 1.45 million sqm at the end of Q2 2026. The Bratislava Region accounted for the largest share of the total shopping centre stock in Slovakia, representing 41%.
